Pre-Marriage Coaching

There is no doubt that your wedding will be one of the most memorable and cherished events in your life.  Now let's work on the relationship so that it is the relationship of a lifetime!   

I  offer both marriage and pre--marriage coaching, relationship mapping, role and relationship coaching services and can conduct them with you in Roswell, Atlanta area. 

This coaching/counseling program is designed for the bride and groom to build strength into their relationship. It all begins before the wedding service, the program is designed in such a way that there is accountability as you live into the work after the service, and helping to ensure that this program will serve as a foundation for their life together.

The first session, usually lasts between an hour, to an hour and a half is used for the couple to complete the various relationship/personality surveys.

The surveys and the follow up appointments are often done in my office.

Utilizing the results of the surveys, we will spend one session recognizing your unique personality traits and how you interact. This is a fun and great tool to help you better understand each other at a new depth.

The remaining sessions (usually 3 or 5) are used to explore and understand the specifics of how each of you process key relational issues that couples usually find challenging. We will also spend some time focusing on family of origin, role expectations, spirituality, communication, parenting, views of marriage and more.

While the premarital counseling is completely optional, couples have found this to be very beneficial and great ways to discuss and find resolution to topics that otherwise remain un-discussed and un-explored. 


               RELATIONSHIP MAPPING

When you begin a journey or trip it is important to know your starting point and the destination.  When beginning a new relationship, or a new dimension to a relationship, it is important to know not only your relationship goals, but what each individual hopes to accomplish with their lives.  discovering, claiming and understanding these issues may seem obvious, but unless intentional time and energy is spent in such discoveries so many important issues are left in that dangerous realm of the assumed. 

Relationship mapping intentionally identifies your relationship roles and then focuses on the personal roles and goals of the each individual.  Relationship mappig does not eliminate the surprises, but they tend to not be as devastating and all encompassing. 


               ROLE & RELATIONSHIP COACHING

Role and relationship coaching is more of the strategy of how to live out consistently those important discoveries form our mapping and counseling.  Coaching is provided to assist the couple when they encounter challenges, difficulties and simply need some nonjudgmental direction, strategy and encouragement. 

The coaching utilizes the tools used for premarital and the mapping to help the couple live and experience the blessing and love that should fill their marriage.
